Aurora Public Schools is an event on Tuesday evening, February 15th at 5:30pm in the middle school theater. The event will feature nationally known speaker Joshua Wayne. Joshua will discuss strategies for parents to assist all students with stress, anxiety and depression. (See attached flyer) FREE MEAL AND CHILDCARE PROVIDED! PLEASE REGISTER FOR CHILDCARE MEAL served 5:30-6:15pm in the middle school commons followed by Joshua Wayne presentation at 6:30pm in the middle school theater.

Better together! The Adult Living/Intro to Foods class is being offered through distance learning this year with students from Ashland-Greenwood. Each day, we get together via zoom and go through the lesson just like an in-person class! This semester we take on the kitchen in the Intro to Foods class with both school cooking. Take a look at what’s been happening in the FCS department! Great job to Ms. Richards & her students! A huge S/O is also given to Mr. Richards at A-G for facilitating and supervising the class in Ashland. Can’t wait to see what they cook up next🤓👍🏼🙌🏼 #hornethype

Spelling Contest: Tanner Schelkopf got 2nd place in the 6th grade & 4th place overall in grades 5-8 Champions round! Chase McKay got 4th in 7th grade. Cody Holtzen got 2nd in 8th grade & got to compete in the Champions round! Karly Eastman got 3rd in 8th grade. Awesome work!🤩

The students improved a lot this week! They are starting to feel more comfortable with their speeches & getting the hang of competition. Congrats to Sophie Faltys for receiving 2nd in Novice Persuasive & Hailey Eastman for getting 7th in Novice Informative. We are looking forward to Minden on the 12th!
