🤟🏼Results from our high school track meet this week: Gold medalists: 👟Peyton Schutt - pole vault,  long jump, 100 hurdles and 400 relay 👟Gracie Kreutz - 800 and 400 relay 👟Jayci Buettner - 400 and 400 relay 👟Reese Rudy - triple jump and 400 relay 👟Braxton Cady - triple jump and 300 hurdles. 🏆Peyton Schutt  was also selected as Co - Most Valuable Female Athlete of the meet. AND the girls team finished runner-ups in the team standings losing to EMF by a score of 110 to 115. It was a great day to be a Hornet! 🧡

Today we took a moment to recognize all the amazing things our Hornet students have going on, buckle up: 🖋️ Matt Pierson, an Associate Director of the Nebraska Council on Economic Education came here to present both a state & national writing award to Vincent Marcello. InvestWrite is an innovative national writing competition offered exclusively to teachers and 4th-12th grade students participating in The Stock Market Game. Investwrite winner for the high school fall division is Vincent Marcello. Our Giltner winner is also a NATIONAL 10th PLACE WINNER out of 2,213 other students. 🎙️We honored and recognized our speech students who attended the state speech last week. 🕯️Giltner's National Honor Society was proud to include the following new members in our organization: Lilly Bish Kalie Cady-Wheeler Tanner Schelkopf Peyton Schutt These four students have qualified to be inducted into Giltner's Chapter of the National Honor Society, which will take place at the Academic Honors Banquet on April 28th. WHAT A GREAT DAY TO BE A HORNET!🧡🖤

Peyton Schutt was the lone gold medalist for the Hornets yesterday at the Wilcox-Hildreth track meet as she won the pole vault. Many others had personal or season best marks as the girls team finished 3rd and the boys team  was 8th. Great work Hornets! #HornetHype

Fourth grade had a busy, fun week. Monday, we visited the Stuhr Museum and got transported back in time to 1888. The students were able to reenact what it was like to be a 4th grader in a one-room schoolhouse.
Thursday, Jordan from the Farm Bureau visited and taught about water irrigation. The students got to build a model of a water irrigation system!
It was a great week to be a Hornet! #HornetHype
