We are thrilled to launch our "One School One Book" reading program. Participating in a school-wide reading program such as "One School One Book" helps build a community of readers and a sense of belonging within our school. When an entire school reads together, it generates excitement about reading and being part of a fun program. Each family in the elementary school will receive a book. The book will be revealed on Friday, February 24. Students will also receive a calendar with dates and chapters to read. There will also be other activities that will go along with the book. We are excited to go on this reading journey with all of you!

Along with "One School One Book," We will participate in Read Across America Week. This will be February 27th-March 3rd. The following are the activities that we will participate in each day:

Monday, February 27th: Cat in the Hat-Wear your favorite hat

Tuesday, February 28th: Green Eggs and Ham- Wear Green

Wednesday, March 1st: Wacky Wednesday-Wear mismatched clothing and crazy hair. Elementary students can also bring a flashlight for silent reading time.

Thursday, March 2nd: The Lorax-Breakfast and a Book

Friday, March 3rd: One Fish, Two Fish- Wear Red or Blue
